ラーニングエクスプレス参加募集説明会が行われました。
11月13日（火）ラーニングエクスプレス参加募集説明会が行われ、学生と保護者１０組が参加しました。ラーニングエクスプレスは本学の学生がタイ、シンガポール、インドネシアなどの学生と合同で発展途上国や地域の村へ行き、デザインシンキングを用いて村人へのインタビューからプロトタイプ製作まで、課題解決を行う現地実践型のプログラムです。
説明は松下臣仁先生と津田明洋先生によって行われ、ラーニングエクスプレスの概要、過去のタイやインドネシアの写真を交えた現地の環境の説明、選抜の流れなどの詳細が話されました。参加メンバーは面接と作文によって選抜され、国際高等専門学校６名、金沢工業大学６名が選ばれます。
ラーニングエクスプレスは課題解決を異文化の学生と英語を使って行うのが特徴で、実践的な英語のレベルだけではなく、ドローイング（スケッチ）などの英語以外のコミュニケーション能力と人間力も問われます。ラーニングエクスプレスについてもっと知りたい方はこちらをご覧ください。
Leaning Express Explanatory Meeting
On November 13 (TUE), the explanatory meeting for this year's Learning Express was held at Kanazawa Campus and 10 pairs of students/guardians gathered to listen to the details. The Learning Express is a program in which ICT students join with students from Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia to travel to developing ASEAN countries to do problem solving in rural village areas. Students will carry out the process of interviewing the villagers to creating prototypes using Design Thinking.
The meeting was conducted by Omihito Matsushita sensei and Akihiro Tsuda sensei, who explained the details of the Learning Express program, the environment with pictures from previous programs in Thailand and Indonesia, and the selection process. Members will be selected based on interview and essay, and six International College of Technology students and six Kanazawa Institute of Technology students will be chosen.
The Learning Express is a unique program in which students must collaborate with student from other countries in English to solve problems. English speaking skills are important. However, there is more weight on other communication skills such as drawing and mental strength. If you wish to know more about the Learning Express, please see here.
