5月11日（土）体育祭が久安運動公園で開催されました。当日は天候にも恵まれ、体育祭日和となりました。今年の体育祭は学科対抗で行われ、電気電子工学科、機械工学科、グローバル情報学科、国際理工学科の4学科が多種多様な種目で競い合って汗を流しました。普段は白山麓キャンパスにいる1,2年生も金沢キャンパスの学生と交流する良い機会となりました。

最終結果
1位：グローバル情報学科（1750点）
2位：電気電子工学科（1710点）
3位：機械工学科（1600点）

表彰式でルイス・バークスデール校長は「非常に”高専らしい”体育祭となった。体力だけではなく、デザイン思考や問題解決能力を活かした戦略が素晴らしかった」と述べました。

The 2019 ICT Sports day was held on May 11 at Hisayasu Athletic Park. We were blessed with perfect weather; blue skies and a slight breeze. This year's sports day was a competition between departments: Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Global Information and Management, and Science and Technology. The four departments competed in various events and there was much fun and excitement. The students of the Department of Science and Technology who usually reside at Hakusanroku campus also had a chance to interact with students from the Kanazawa campus.

Final Score
1st place: Department of Global Information and Management (1750 pt)
2nd place: Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (1710 pt)
3rd place: Department of Mechanical Engineering (1600 pt)
4th place: Department of Science and Technology (1599 pt)

At the award ceremony, president Lewis Barksdale commented "It was a "technical college-like" sports day. Not only were strength and skill used. I saw teams using design thinking and problem-solving to find creative strategies and solutions."
