6名の学生が「令和7年度石川県高等学校新人バドミントン選手権大会」に出場
令和7年度石川県高等学校新人バドミントン選手権大会が11月12日（水）～15日（土）に開催され、本校から1・2年生6名が出場しました。この大会は第54回全国高等学校選抜バドミントン大会・北信越予選会も兼ねて開催されています。
本校からは、1年生加藤 颯太朗さん、田村 駿多さん、内藤 巴玖さん、籾山 裕太さん、2年生の谷 一さん、藤原 聖也さんの6名が金沢市総合体育館および額谷ふれあい体育館に出向き参加しました。
試合はダブルスから始まり、田村さんと籾山さんペア、内藤さんと藤原さんペアが出場しました。田村さんと籾山さんペアはベストを尽くしましたが、惜しくも予選敗退となりました。一方、内藤さんと藤原さんペアは第1試合に勝利し、次の試合へ進みましたが、第2試合で惜しくも敗退しました。
シングルスは2日間にわたり開催され、登録した6名が全員出場しました。その中でも、籾山さんと谷さんは第1試合に勝利し、第2試合では接戦となりましたが、惜しくも敗退しました。藤原さんは第3試合へ進んだものの残念ながら敗退し、ベスト64入りとなりました。
これまでの大会では、高校3年生や他高専の3～5年生に、1・2年生が圧倒されることもありました。しかし、今回の新人バドミントン選手権大会では、1・2年生のみの出場ということで手が届くレベルの試合が多く、学生にとって良い経験になったと思います。この経験を通じて、学生たちは新たな目標に向けた一歩を踏み出すことができたのではないでしょうか。また、座席エリアでは他校同士の交流もあり、会場全体が温かく、親しみやすい雰囲気に包まれました。
Six Students Participate in the 2025 Ishikawa Prefecture High School Rookie Badminton Tournament
The 2025 Ishikawa Prefecture High School Newcomer Badminton Tournament was held from Wednesday, November 12th to Saturday, November 15th, with six 1st and 2nd year students from ICT participating. This tournament also served as the Hokushinetsu region qualifying round for the 54th National High School Selection Badminton Championship. From ICT, 1st year students Sotaro Kato, Shunta Tamura, Haku Naito and Yuta Momiyama along with 2nd year students Hajime Tani and Seiya Fujiwara participated in the tournament held at Kanazawa City General Gymnasium and Nukadani Fureai Gymnasium.
The tournament began with doubles matches. Two teams, Shunta and Yuta, and Haku and Seiya, participated in it, and Shunta and Yuta gave their best effort but were unfortunately eliminated in the preliminary round. Haku and Seiya won their first match but unfortunately lost their second match.
Singles matches were held over two days, all 6 students participating. Among them, Yuta and Hajime won their first round matches and played thrilling second round matches that ended in close defeats. Seiya achieved a spot in the top 64 by winning his first and second round matches before losing his third round match.
In previous tournaments, the overwhelming skill level of senior players, such as 3rd year high school students and 3rd to 5th year students from other KOSENS left our 1st and 2nd year students feeling daunted. However, this rookie tournament was limited to 1st and 2nd year players and featured matches at a more attainable level, providing an excellent learning experience for our students. Through this experience, it seems they were able to take a step toward new goals and aspirations. Additionally, friendly exchanges between schools in the seating area created a warm and positive atmosphere.
