On Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, the 60th Graduation Ceremony of the International College of Technology was held in the Multi-purpose Hall at the Kanazawa Campus.
The graduating students, dressed smartly in suits they were not accustomed to wearing, showed no signs of nervousness and attended the ceremony with their usual bright smiles.

The ceremony began under the moderation of Justin Han sensei, followed by the opening address delivered in both Japanese and English by Vice President Mamoru Mukai sensei. After the singing of the national anthem and the school song, the ceremony proceeded to the presentation of diplomas. When students’ names were called by their homeroom teacher, Yoshihiro Kushima sensei, each graduating student stepped forward to receive a bilingual diploma from President Masaaki Shikada sensei.

Next, the ceremony moved on to the presentation of awards. The Five-Year Academic Excellence Award was presented to Mr. Kan Kinoshita, and the Five-Year Meritorious Service Award to Mr. Shogo Izumiya. Two academic society awards were also presented: The Excellent Student Award of the Hokuriku Chapter of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers to Mr. Kinoshita, and the Excellent Student Award of the Hokuriku Chapter of the Information Processing Society of Japan to Mr. Izumiya.

In the President’s Commencement Address, President Shikada spoke in English, reflecting on the achievements of the graduates throughout each year from their enrollment in 2021 to the present. He concluded with the message:
“Whether you go on to university or enter society, you will face many challenges you have not yet experienced here at ICT. Generative AI will not solve these for you. By choosing to confront difficulties on your own, you will achieve great outcomes. I hope you will continue to demonstrate the engineering spirit you cultivated at ICT.”

Following this, Mr. Lapananrat Pantawat, a 2nd year student, delivered the farewell message on behalf of the current students. He encouraged the graduates, saying:
“There will be times when things do not go as you wish, but you are not alone. Your friends and teachers at ICT will always be glad to support you. You have grown here at ICT, and you will continue to grow, succeed, and achieve remarkable things.”

Responding to this message on behalf of the graduates, Mr. Kinoshita took the stage and stated powerfully:
“The stage we are about to step onto is not always an easy one. However, we promise to overcome challenges with the expertise, English proficiency, international mindset, tolerance, perseverance, and innovation skills we have gained here at ICT.”
Following this, Mr. Izumiya presented a commemorative gift to the school, a Wajima lacquered framed artwork. The graduates chose this item as a symbol of their thoughts and prayers for the Noto region, which is still in the process of reconstruction.

Afterward, all attendees joined together to sing “Auld Lang Syne,” and the ceremony concluded with the closing address from Vice President Mukai.

After the graduation ceremony, a graduation celebration party was held in the cafeteria on the first floor of Building 21. Graduates, current students, families, and faculty members enjoyed a warm and pleasant afternoon, sharing memories and taking photos together.
