Discussion with Mr. Tanタン氏との会談風景
At the Kanazawa Campus, President Masaaki Shikada and Vice President Mamoru Mukai welcomed the guests. President Shikada introduced ICT’s distinctive educational programs and initiatives. Mr. Tan then shared information about the Malaysian education system and opportunities for Malaysian students to study in Japan. This led to a meaningful exchange of views on the potential for more students from Malaysia to pursue their studies at ICT.
Drawing on his own experience of studying in Japan, Mr. Tan expressed his hope that more young Malaysians would have the opportunity to study in Japan. The discussion also explored the possibility of students from international schools in Malaysia pursuing further education at ICT, creating new opportunities for future educational exchange.
The guests then toured the ICT Kanazawa Campus, including the Library Center, Challenge Lab, and Yume Kobo, where they gained a deeper understanding of ICT’s supportive learning environment and extensive facilities and equipment.
The group later traveled to the Hakusanroku Campus, where the guests had lunch with a Malaysian student currently studying at ICT. Mr. Tan asked about classes, daily life at school, weekends, meals, and other aspects of studying and living in Japan. The friendly conversation gave the guests an opportunity to hear firsthand about the student’s experiences at ICT
After lunch, the guests toured the Hakusanroku Campus and experienced its unique educational and residential environment, surrounded by the rich natural beauty of the Hakusan foothills. Mr. Tan expressed his interest in introducing ICT to students in Malaysia and helping to build connections between ICT and international schools in Malaysia.
We hope that the new connections created through this visit will continue to grow beyond national and cultural boundaries, creating new opportunities for students from Malaysia to study at ICT, build friendships, and shape the future together.
