4月12日（金）白山麓キャンパスでロボットゴルフ大会2019が開催され、1～2年生の14名から構成された6チームが出場しました。本大会は今年から始動した3つの課外活動クラブのひとつ、Design & Fabricationの仮入部活動として行われました。Design & Fabricationは主にロボコン出場を目指すものづくりのクラブで、今回のロボットゴルフ大会はその仮入部及び、今後のチーム分けを判断する力試しが目的でした。担当教員は伊勢大成先生、伊藤周先生、タン・カー・ケン（K.K.）先生の3名です。学生は2～3名のチームに分かれ、LEGO EV3を使って専用のコースを何打でクリアできるかを競い合いました。K.K.先生も自作のロボットで参戦しました。優勝チームは勝又舜介さん（2年）と田中立輝さん（1年）のチームで、ゴルフボールを放り投げて障害物を越えるロボットで見事ホールインワンを決めました。優勝チーム以外にも、デザイン賞とアイデア賞が設けられ、最後に表彰式が行われました。

Design & Fabricationの今後の活動は、正式入部メンバーと目標とするロボコン大会に狙いを絞っていきます。

On April 12 (Fri), the first Robot Golf Tournament was held at Hakusanroku campus. Fourteen students consisting of both first- and second-year students were divided into six teams to compete.  This tournament was held as a tryout for the Design & Fabrication club, one of the three new extracurricular clubs starting this year. This tournament served as a chance for students to experience the club and test if their engineering skills are up to par. The teachers facilitating this club are Taisei Ise, Meguru Ito, and Tan Kah Keng (also known as K.K.). Each group of two to three students used LEGO EV3 to create a robot and compete how many strokes it took them to finish the course made by the teachers. K.K. sensei also joined with his own robot. The winning pair were Shunsuke Katsumata (2nd year) and Ritsuki Tanaka (1st year). They designed a robot to throw the golf ball over the obstacle block and actually scored a hole in one. There was also an award for best design and best idea, which were awarded after the tournament.

The next activities of the Design & Fabrication club will be deciding its official members and plan which Robocon tournament it will aim for.
