第37回 アイデア対決・全国高等専門学校 ロボットコンテスト2024
2024年10月6日（日）、「第37回 アイデア対決・全国高等専門学校 ロボットコンテスト2024」の東海北陸地区大会が静岡県沼津市のプラサ ヴェルデで開催され、国際高専からはAチーム（4年生3名）Bチーム（1、2年生8名）が出場しました。
今年度の競技課題名は「ロボたちの帰還」、2種類以上のロボットで「着地」、そして「回収と帰還」のミッション達成を目指します。競技時間は2分30秒で前半は「着地」、ロボット1がロボット2を発射し、着地した場所に応じて得点が入ります。後半は「回収と帰還」、ロボット2がボールを「回収」してロボット１に届け、ボックスを持って「帰還」することでさらに得点が入ります。
大会の結果は、国際高専AチームおよびBチームともに決勝トーナメントに進出することができず、全国大会への出場はかないませんでしたが、Aチームが「特別賞（株式会社デンソー）」、Bチームが「特別賞（マブチモーター株式会社）」をそれぞれ受賞し、両チームとも入賞を果たしました。
東海北陸地区大会は11月10日（日）午前11時から総合テレビ（東海北陸7県）で放送が予定されています。

The Tokai-Hokuriku Regional ROBOCON 2024
On Sunday, October 6th, 2024, the Tokai-Hokuriku Regional ROBOCON 2024 was held at Plaza Verde in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Two teams from ICT participated: Team A (three 4th year students) and Team B (eight 1st and 2nd year students).
This year's competition challenge was titled "Return of the Robots," where teams use two or more robots to complete the missions of "Landing" and "Retrieval and Return." The competition time is 2 minutes and 30 seconds. In the first half, "Landing," Robot 1 launches Robot 2, and points are awarded based on where Robot 2 lands. In the second half, "Retrieval and Return," Robot 2 collects balls and delivers them to Robot 1, then carries a box to complete the "Return," earning additional points.
Although neither Team A nor Team B from ICT advanced to the finals for the national tournament, both teams received special awards. Team A won the "Special Award (DENSO Corporation)," and Team B won the "Special Award (Mabuchi Motor Co., Ltd.)," marking a successful achievement for both teams.
The Tokai-Hokuriku Regional Tournament will be broadcast on NHK General TV (Tokai-Hokuriku 7 Prefectures) on Sunday, November 10th, at 11:00 a.m.
