Afterschool

How did you spend your time afterschool? I bet some people enjoyed playing games with their friends. How about actually making one?
The other day I ran across two students who have launched a long-term project to create a real-life shooting game using infrared laser pistols and headbands. The headbands will detect the infrared laser and notify if the person was hit. Their final goal is hold a student versus teacher tournament on campus. It sounds exciting and I think it’s great that they are motivated to learn about what they are interested in. The project is still in the early stages so I will keep you updated if I hear more. 放課後の過ごし方

放課後はどのように過ごしてましたか？友達とゲームを遊んでいた方もいるのではないでしょうか？では、ゲームを作っていた人はいますか？
先日、放課後の活動として、赤外線を使ったリアルなシューティングゲームを製作する長期プロジェクトを立ち上げた学生２人に出会いました。赤外線レーザーを飛ばすピストルと、それを感知して命中したことを知らせるヘッドバンドを製作するのが狙いです。最終的には量産して、学生対先生の大会を開きたいと彼らは話してくれました。とても面白そうですし、興味があることについて熱心に学ぶのは良いことだと思います。放課後にこんなことができるのは、工学ボーディングスクールならではですね。まだプロジェクトの初期段階なので、進捗があればまたお知らせしたいと思います。またお会いしましょう。
